I've noticed that many of my friends who I'd describe as "very artistic" are rarely great with grammar and syntax. I wonder what the connection is. It can't be as simple as "they devote more time to art than they do to grammar and syntax."
oh no i'm sure i'd be able to pick that out. I'm talking about things like using "your" instead of "you're" or "too" instead of "to". I'm thinking of someone like kanye west, whose tweets are always terrible with grammar, lol
i guess you could argue that that's them exercising their artistic will and all that, but i don't see it as particularly creative. It comes across as lazy, weak, and ineffective to me.
And then i guess you could say that it's art, it's subjective, and different strokes for different folks and whatnot
